Who's Who at Jean's Fine
Wines
|
Jean, or "the delightful Jean" as she has been described
by the Staten Island Advance, is the guiding genius of Jean's Fine
Wines. Her experience in the gourmet food arena is
impressive, highlighted by managerial positions at "A Southern
Season" in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and "Pasta and Cheese" on
Madison Ave. and 72nd Street in Manhattan. After taking off
about 20 years to raise her two boys, she's come back to the retail
world with a splash, opening Staten Island's premier wine
shop. |

Michael is our Wine Consultant here at JFW, and we're very excited to have him with us. He comes to us from Sherry-Lehmann, where he worked with some of the most talented wine professionals in the city. A graduate of Wagner College, he studied food and wine at the Institute for Culinary Education, Manhattan, earning a degree in Culinary Arts. His love of wine was first cultivated by the Institute's Director of Wine Studies, Ron Ciavolino. You need a wine and food pairing? Michael is your man! |

Kristin is our resident "mixologist", with a bartender's certificate to prove it! She works during the week at an advertising firm in Manhattan, but she helps us out on Saturdays and Sundays when she can. |
George is the friendly person you see a couple
mornings a week, when he opens up the store and tends to business,
giving Jean the occasional break! He has been with the store
since before it was "Jean's Fine Wines", and we're very happy to
have him with us. (Someday when you have time, ask him to do
a magic trick!) Max (shown here posing for our Gift Catalog) has also
been with the store since pre-Jean days, and has risen to the
position of Director of Customer Relations. You will
often see him greeting customers, and even venturing outside to
attract business. He's always ready for a pet or a scratch
behind the ears! |
