A block farther west on Spring Street, the ancient barnlike structure you see on your right was once the Tosetti Winery. It dates from 1882 when Baldisere Tosetti from Italy built the cellar to make wine, which he sold in jugs and barrels at the cellar door. Across the street there stood in the 1880s the Schulze or Schultz Winery, which burned to the ground in 1908.
